Automated decisions & the Trust Score

1. Where automation is used
ProofChain calculates two values automatically: the Trust Score of a Home Passport (0–100 with a letter grade) and the trust score of each data source in the source ledger. Both are computed by a deterministic formula in our database — no score is produced by a generative AI model.
2. Factors that feed the Trust Score
- Ownership verification tier — postal PIN, utility or tax bill, land registry or notary attestation.
- Authority tier of each source — government of record, licensed professional, verified partner, owner declared, unverified.
- Freshness and expiry — how recently a fact was synced or verified, and whether it has expired.
- Evidence volume — verified events, attestations, inspections, permits and documents attached to the home.
- Conflicts — contradictions between two sources reduce confidence until resolved.
The score describes the strength of the evidence on file. It is not an appraisal, not a condition rating, not an insurance rating, and not a credit assessment about any person.
3. What the score is never used for
We do not use the Trust Score to grant or refuse credit, insurance or employment, and we do not sell it to third parties for those purposes. Lenders, insurers and buyers only receive passport data when the homeowner explicitly shares it.
4. Your rights
- To be informed — this page, plus the source ledger on your passport, shows every input.
- To make observations — you may submit a written statement and have a human review the result.
- To correction — inaccurate facts are corrected and the score recalculated.
Homeowners file an objection from the Visibility & trust tab of any home in the dashboard. Anyone else may write to privacy@proofchain.world. We respond within 30 days.
5. Human review
A member of our team, not an algorithm, reviews every objection: they examine the underlying records, the source authority tiers and your statement, then uphold, correct or reject the result with written reasons. The outcome appears in your dashboard.
